Purple Power Smoothie
Don’t skip out on smoothies because your favorite fruits are out of season—just use the frozen variety. The fruit is picked and frozen at its nutritional peak, so you won’t lose any of the sought-after vitamins and antioxidants.
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sweet cherries, pitted (frozen, if desired)
1/2 cup raspberries (frozen, if desired)
1/2 cup blueberries (frozen, if desired)
1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
1 serving unsweetened vanilla whey protein powder (Pasternak prefers Source Organic Whey)
Place all ingredients in blender in order listed above. Secure lid and blend for about 1 minute. If a thinner consistency is desired, add a little water and blend for about 20 more seconds.
